Meet the Jordan Brothers

So who are the Jordan Brothers? We are adventurers who believe that education through travel and exploration is beyond a passion, it is a way of life. We view each day on this planet as a gift, a chance to push ourselves to the limit, to learn, and to become better men. Our quest is to become 21st-century Renaissance Men and have knowledge about the world gained through experiencing it “From Wildlife to Nightlife”. More than anything, we are brothers and best friends who are grateful every day that we are able to share some amazing adventures, and we hope that you will come along on them with us through the memory of film.

You can read more about each of us at the bottom of this page, and we invite you to watch the video below that talks about our MANTRA. Remember, don’t aspire to have more. Aspire to do more, and above all else, aspire to be more. We’ll look for you on the mountain, don’t forget to say hi.

STEVE

The older of the Jordan Brothers, Steve has an amiable personality and a brain full of information on our natural world…

Steve earned his bachelors degree in Natural Resource Management and Engineering and Resource Economics in 1998 and a Masters Degree in Natural Resources: Land, Water, and Air in 2000, both from the University of Connecticut. Steve earned the nickname “Junkfish Jordan” doing his thesis field research on the Hudson River Estuary in New York, studying the population dynamics of catfishes and carp with a focus on fisheries science and conservation.

In his educational and business careers, Steve has carved a niche presenting complex information in a format that is easily consumable to his audiences. Citing his camera-friendly good looks, adventurous and humorous personality and his easy, comforting presentation style, colleagues have long suggested that he translate his act to the medium of television. Sharing his travel adventures and knowledge of nature with his friends and colleagues, Steve has amassed a group of people that are captivated by his adventures and, through the medium of web tv, hopes that group will grow exponentially. You can check out Steve’s fishing adventures on the Junkfish Journal or read his random rants on his personal blog. Leave a comment or two!

Steve is fluent in Spanish thanks to his time living and working in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He now resides in San Diego, California.

PHIL

The younger of the Jordan brothers, Phil has a passion for exploring new locations to meet new people and experience local cultures.
Phil received his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience in 2000 from the University of Connecticut, and his J.D. and certificate in Environmental Law and Policy from Boston College Law School in 2005. While studying at UConn, Phil co-authored an abstract in the Society for Neuroscience and performed independent laboratory research on animal behavior. While in Law School, Phil published a legal paper and served as the articles editor for the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review and taught an undergraduate course in environmental law at Boston College. In his current practice as a corporate attorney, Phil oversees complex projects in the U.S. and abroad as a member of the firm’s Latin America practice.

Phil has worked in the United States Senate, the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General, and an A-List international law firm. His political and professional affiliations allow him access to people and places all over the globe. He has worked with U.S. non-profits and community groups in Central America to halt the construction of a proposed highway in El Salvador, and successfully established a school in the Dominican Republic for underprivileged children. Phil is an avid outdoorsman and his insatiable thirst for learning and teaching–as well as his quick wit and humor–has led many of his friends and colleagues to suggest that he pursue a career in television.

Phil is fluent in Spanish thanks to his time living in Caracas, Venezuela. He now resides in San Diego, California.
